hark how the bells..

Remember this post?
.
Since we couldn't see it in person this year, this video we took last year helped us ring in the Christmas season. It really is one of my
favorite New York moments
.
(Have I mentioned we were complete New York wannabees while we lived in Jersey? We were. I love New York City, especially at Christmas. )
.
When we first saw this, we were standing in Rockefeller Center gazing up at the gigantic Christmas tree. All of a sudden across 5th Avenue along the side of Saks, this started:

To quote myself from last year,

"It was so loud, so full of energy, and oh so Christmasy!"

I love New York!!! How fun to get to see that. I have to go on YouTube to see fun things like that. I really need to get back to New York sometime. It was such a fun place. That's nice you guys got to live so close.

Christmas in New York is so awesome! Especially when you have great friends to visit too! Last year rocked. I am so bummed we can't make it up there this year and bummed you guys aren't there anymore. I love window shopping on 5th Avenue, all the lights, decorations, the tree and just being there!!! It is "oh so Christmasy!"

i guess the lights on the side of Fenerahce Stadium that are up all year in Istanbul will have to suffice as "christmas" lights for now...there is new years excitement in Istanbul, but not much of the christmas spirit...

i too miss NYC and when my parents used to take the whole family in to see the tree at Rockefeller Center...i miss being so close to the temple too...
