"The Best Christmas Pageant Ever"
I love this book -- in every ward, there is at least one Herdman family.
I used to read it to my classes at Slate Canyon Detention Center. Even criminals love it! Probably because they identified with the Herdman family.
If you've ever directed a ward nativity play, you have lived this book!
You know, I don't know a lot of Christmas books. I'll have to check these ones out. Thanks!
Those look so cute! A couple of my favorites are "Twas the Night Before Christmas" & "The Polar Express" - I love the pictures in this book. What are your favorite Christmas albums?
I love Bear Snores On and I thought I'd found everything else Karma Wilson did. I'll have to go look for Mortimer's Christmas Manger. We love The Night Before Christmas too. There are others...but I can't think of them right now! :)
I love the Buehner's books! They're just so great. We have fun looking for the hidden pictures. I love collecting Christmas books. Some from our collection include: The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey, The Night Before Christmas (ill. by Mary Engelbreit), Room for a Little One, The Littlest Angel, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
I'll have to look for Mortimer. It looks darling!
I love "The Polar Express" and "Believe" with Mary Engelbreit. We will definitely have to check out your favorite books!
I can only think of movies for some reason..."Nightmare Before Christmas," "Emmit Otter's Jugband Christmas," the classic Rudolph they show every year, and of course frosty too. I love that guy that narrates at the beginning of those.
I don't have any of those three and I feel so cheated- I am going to have to get on top of things! Thanks for the recommendation.
