makin' headbands

I've wanted to make Lydia some new headbands for awhile and yesterday I finally got around to doing it.
It took me 4 different designs to figure out how to make the lightweight clear plastic elastic work right, but they finally turned out okay!
I couldn't get Lydia to post for a picture. She was too busy twirling around.

I love it. Please share the secret. Store bought headbands don't fit Mara as she has a really small head. I would love to make a few.

So adorable. Can you show how the elastic is attached? I've been looking for an elastic-type headband (for myself, not my boys) that will stay in place, instead of gradually sliding back until it pops off of my head.

Mary,
You are so talented. Not only in the headband making department, but also in the not-letting-any-plant-you-touch die department. I'm really envious of your green thumb.

I'm trying the new elastic with an adult size headband today. I'll put together a little demo- let me just finish perfecting my method...
