I've found that it:
1) is a little delayed on telling me about new posts,
2) doesn't show white text since it's on a white background, and
3) doesn't allow you to make comments.
.
But if you don't mind:
1) being a day behind on everyone's blogs, and
2) clicking on the link at the top to see the real blog so that you can make comments and so that you can see the text if it's white or light colored then it's great, right?
(By the way, I highly recommend clicking on the links at the top of the reader and going to the actual blogs. Part of the fun of blogging is exchanging comments and seeing the different templates, colors and pictures everyone have added to their webpage to personalize it. You lose that with the reader).
.
Oh, and one other thing. It brings up any old posts that have been edited too. Since I went through and added labels to a bunch of old posts, your reader is probably going to list a bunch of posts from me. Sorry about that.

Look at that. I read this in my Google Reader, then popped right onto your actual blog to make a comment! I have found the same issues, but of course it's worth it. Every once in a while, for old time's sake I forget the reader and click one by one through all the blogs. Then it's such a treat to find a new post that hasn't shown up in my reader yet. I have noticed times when you are doing a little blog maintenance, and some of your old posts will surface. I like this because:
a)some are old enough that I had never seen them, and
b)I like to try to guess what kind of edits you are making.
Yep, still a geek.
Yeah, it makes me nervous about making edits. I hate it when I change my mind or find a spelling mistake later on. Oh well.
I have to admit, one night I was all excited to see I had like 16 blogs to read...but they were mostly you! So, I visited your old stuff again just for fun! :)
Oh that's right- I forgot to mention that you can't make comments from the reader either.
I guess I'll have to go back and add that to my post- so Tricia, I may show up in your reader again!
