A Houston Halloween

Halloween is a fall holiday right?

Evidently here in Texas, we just pretend it's fall. People around here look at me like I'm crazy when I complain about it not feeling like fall so I'm really trying to be positive and appreciate Houston for all it's own inner beauty. But something's just not right about it being in the 80s on Halloween.

We have had some really fantastic cooler, less humid days lately. I even wore a sweater twice this week, until I got too hot in the afternoon.

I know, I know. We're going to be here for a while. Get over it. Fine, I will. But I totally may spray paint the leaves on our trees this weekend.

It's the same here in Florida! Now that we've been here over a year I'm much more acclimated and the weather we're having now (similar to yours) actually feels like fall. Although I'll never be able to get over the lack of fall color changes. I really miss that.

This is just a weird year here in Montana, but it was in the high 60's for Halloween, and I went out in short sleeve's to take Reed trick or treating, and he didn't wear a coat. It really didn't feel much like Halloween here either.

I'm totally with you on this one. I get all the same looks. My next door neighbor was complaining that it was too cold last week. I just don't get it. If you get some spray paint bring it over here when you are done!

hahaha. Welcome to my world!! Vegas is the same way. We CAN get cold int he winter, but it was around 80 on Halloween here, as well. The kids' costumes are great, too!
