Oh, how I've waited (10 years) to finally have one of my own and to fill my home with the sound of music.I cried when they delivered it. Sometimes I like to just sit and stare at it.
Houston and Dallas are about 4-5 hours away. Darn. But if you ever come up North, it would be fun to see you and your cute family. We might take a road trip down there when Lesley Larsen has her baby in Oct.
Are you close to the Larsens and Bernards? I know they are in Houston.
Oh Mary! You lucky duck! I don't play, but I know that when you buy a piano, it means you're really settling down.It must feel nice to have some roots!(It's just too bad those roots are in Texas and not Cali!)
BEAUTIFUL! It looks like the one I grew up playing, which was a Yamaha. What kind is it? So exciting! We have a pretty nice digital right now...but it's still just that -- digital.
Oh, I'm so excited for you!!! I understand wanting a piano so bad. I don't have one and I'm so anxious for the day when I'll get one. I feel like part of me is missing without a piano to play. I know you'll have so much FUN! Play your heart out for me!
My kids don't play-- YET. Ethan thinks he does and loves to sit and play it while he sings various songs of his own composition. We'll get going on those lessons as soon as the back to school thing settles a bit...
Gorgeous! I actually just picked up your families old piano bench from Lance's house. I inherited my Grandma Carlson's piano, but the bench was in really bad shape, so now I have Grandma Lehnhof's bench to go with it. Let's go play the piano to our hearts content!

That is so BEAUTIFUL! I just wish that I could play as well as you and your sisters.
Oh, I'm jealous! We have an electic piano, but there is nothing like the real thing!!

So jealous, but in the I'm happy for you way.
btw, where are you in Texas? We live in the Dallas area. Let me know if your close. I know Texas is ginormous, but Mormondom is so small.

I've been meaning to ask, where do you live in Texas? My younger sister, Elizabeth, lives in the Houston 'burbs.

Do your kids play? How fun is that! At one time I had five pianos in my house--can you believe it?
Congrats! Is it a Yamaha?
