A favorite refreshment at the beach is coconut water, available pretty much everywhere including every 30 feet or so at the beachside snack huts. 
We really just buy them to take cool pictures drinking out of a coconut. They look and sound good, but we think they taste a little strange.

Roberto, my husband, always talks about the coconuts, as well as all the fruits, he enjoyed in El Salvador. He loves the coconut water. I guess it's an acquired taste. He misses all these things. Glad you could experience some of the tropical life. I'd love to do something like this one day as well.
